I am so glad you picked up the minority point. I thought I hadn't emphasized it enough. The best students when I explain my logic, get it. They consider the discussion a teaching moment. It is the ones who don't, that we continue to think and worry about.
I had a professor in the midst of my career who said, feedback is a gift. No one needs to give you feedback. If they do they are doing you a favor. Listen to it and thank them. Irrespective of how it makes you feel.
The hardest part of my work is feedback. Different level of effort to just grade a paper. A big step up to figure out, write and share what would take to make it better.
Thank you for doing what you do. I wish more of us around the world did that.
